My Sin and My Savior

I just returned to my hotel room after the opening session and panel discussion of Together for the Gospel. CJ Mahaney closed out the evening by quoting Puritan Richard Sibbes from The Bruised Reed:

"There is more mercy in Christ than there is sin in me."

A timely reminder for me, bro. In volume one of his works, just before The Bruised Reed Sibbes wrote , in which he wrote something similar: "God is more ready to forgive than you are to sin...Though there is a continual fountain of sin in thee, there is a greater continual fountain of mercy in God." How helpful Sibbes is to the heart aching with sin!

Wish I were there bro. Thanks for blogging what you can.
