Journey to China

We fly out of Chicago for Shanghai on Monday with 13 college students (12 from BBC; 1 from Houghton College). Our purpose is to visit orphans in Fuzhou, Jiangxi, China. You can learn a little about Fuzhou here. Here's the orphanage where we will be serving. This link has more info about the orphanage. You'll find a number of pics by a couple that recently adopted a little girl from there.

I'm so proud of my oldest granddaughter, Jessica, for having such a missionary heart of love, like our Lord, for others.

Fuzhou is the Capital of Fujian Province, not Jiangxi.

Even in the Wikipedia, it said Jiangxi Provice.
I changed it.

Ava,

There are two cities called Fuzhou in China, one in Fujian, the other in Jianxi. We went to the one in Jianxi. Our church sent one team to the Fujian Fuzhou and we went to the other.

Dan & Melissa,

I think what you do is wonderful but upon viewing the clips of video footage, I felt compelled to share this little bit of information with you in this forum.

Fuzhou Orphanage is in JIANGXI PROVINCE, NANCHANG.
Fuzhou city is HUGE & in an entirely different part of China than Jiangxi. Fuzhou city & Fuzhou orphanage, two different places. How do I know this? My daughter is from the Fuzhou orphanage in Jiangxi province, Nanchang China.

Just thought I'd share. Keep up the good work, it takes a special person to do what you both do & do it with the love that is obvious in your videos.

Sincerely,

-Amy & Ruby Cate
