September 2006 Archives

When I picked them up at Delaware Water Gap, they had hiked 891 miles to date. Their journey down the Appalachian Trail (AT) began in Maine on June 6th. Almost 900 miles and six states later they walked into Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, September 13th. I picked them up at 5:00pm at the local pizza place to bring them to our home for a couple of days of R & R. They ended up staying until Saturday morning. It was a great time to catch up with them and hear about their many fascinating AT adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing how God has been at work in their lives since the time I taught them high school Bible. Back then they were single and dating. Now they are married and hiking the AT (only 1000+ miles to go!). Thanks, Joel and Jess, for letting us share in your adventures.

This picture was taken at our home minutes before I took them back to Delaware Water Gap:

A new question was added to the Hebrews Class page. It relates to the lecture entitled "Christ's Resurrection and High Priesthood." If you are one of my students, make sure you check it out. It's dicussion thread #5.

For my students: If you are trying to post comments from within the college network system, the plugin I am using for my blog will now reject them. Why? My guess is that there have been too many hits from a single IP address over the past week. As a result, the plugin is now recognizing everything sent from BBC's IP address as spam. I can't even post a comment from school. Please know that we are trying to fix the problem ASAP.Â

Meanwhile, if you have a comment that you would like posted, send it to me via e-mail and I'll post it from home this evening.
