the-jesus-storybook-bible.jpg Read what Tim and Kathy Keller say about The Jesus Storybook Bible:

"I would urge not just families with young children to get this book, but every Christian--from pew warmers, to ministry leaders, seminarians and even theologians! Sally Lloyd-Jones has captured the heart of what it means to find Christ in all the scriptures, and has made clear even to little children that all God's revelation has been about Jesus from the beginning--a truth not all that commonly recognized even among the very learned." - Tim Keller

"Sally Lloyd-Jones, a Redeemer member for many years, has done a wondrous thing. She has captured the plot line of redemption in a children's story Bible that sings the praise of Jesus and his saving grace on every page, in every story." - Kathy Keller

[...] This is a big recommendation for readers with children. Grab a copy of The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name by Sally Lloyd-Jones and spend some time reading it with your children. Here’s a snippet from the book description: “Children ages 4 to 8 have a hard time grasping the concept of ‘God.’ But it can be done through the person of Jesus. Told in a wonderfully inviting style, this Bible storybook shares many beloved Bible stories and reveals how the news and message of Jesus unfolds throughout Scripture, from the Old Testament all the way through the New Testament. Jesus in the Story helps readers love and appreciate Jesus and begin their own journey of faith. Beautiful 4-color artwork throughout.” I love the illustrations in all of her children’s books. Do you have this book Mr. Cruver? If so can I take a look at it? I am doing an internship at my church back home this coming summer. One of my responsibilities is to teach a children’s portion of our Sunday evening service. I have been looking for something with which to teach that was slightly above lame, which is where a lot of children’s curriculum and books would be categorized in my opinion. I am not publicly wealthy so I would like to check it out before investing!

Nate,

I just ordered it today. I'll be glad to let you take a look at it once it comes in. Check back with me in about a week. I think you'll find it really helpful.

Can you get a bulk rate on these anywhere that you know of? We're looking for something that would make good gifts for baby dedications, showers, etc., in a community full of little children.
